This guide covers the process for authorised advisers to link or delink accounts from their clients usernames. This is used to determine which Netwealth Wealth Accelerator, Super Accelerator or Challenger Annuity accounts can be viewed by multiple Netwealth client usernames. While multiple clients can view the same account, only one username will have transact access at this stage. Advisers can link single signatory Wealth Accelerator and Challenger Annuity accounts online, with client approval. Multiple signatories and Super Accelerator accounts can be linked through the offline form.
This article is for the use of Adviser Representatives (AR) only. If you are a client and wish to learn more about this feature, please contact your Adviser Representative or Netwealth at contact@netwealth.com.au.

What does linking an account mean?
Netwealth now supports multiple usernames to view an account, allowing different clients to view the same account using their own login credentials. Usernames that are added to an account will have read access only at this stage. You can switch who is the primary user on an account using the form. A primary user has transact access on an account, a secondary user has view only access at this time. Transactional access will be introduced in future phases.
You can think about usernames and accounts as follows:
- A username: An individual name and password used to log in to Netwealth. A username holds the credentials of the user that were claimed in their user profile. This includes details like name, date of birth, email address, etc.
- An account: A financial platform used to host money and investments in either a Wealth Accelerator, Super Accelerator or Challenger Annuity product. An account holds details that determine how and where correspondence and statements are sent.
If you previously shared a username, the user that did not claim the user profile can now have a new username made and linked to the account through your authorised adviser.

If clients previously shared a username, one of the clients will have claimed that username with the user profile. Please note it is advisers who must set up the secondary username.

- All changes will need to be approved by the client. A pending linking icon will appear next to the new account/username that is being added. An activity is created for the client to approve on the Netwealth website or mobile app and will be active for 15 days. After 15 days, if the client has not approved, a new request will need to be submitted.
- Once client has approved the activity, the changes will be live.
If the username you are trying to link does not have the user profile confirmed, this will need to be completed prior to linking. Once you have searched for the username on the Update Account Links page, click "Update details" to confirm the user profile.
