How can I tell what transaction access I have? What are the different access levels?

When opening an account, you can choose either browse-only or full transaction online access; browse access allows viewing and monitoring, while full access permits changes and investment switches. If no choice is made, browse access is default. This guide explains the differences and how to change access levels on a Netwealth account.

When you complete your application, you are given a choice as to the level of online access you require for your account. You can choose to have either full transaction capability or browse only access. If you do not indicate in your application the type of access you require, then you will have browse access on your account. If you cancel the appointment of your Nominated Financial Adviser, you will be given full transaction capability unless you tell us otherwise.

Browse access allows you to view and monitor your account. You can change your personal details and confirm requests made by your Adviser Representative, but you do not have transaction capability.

Full transaction capability allows you to change your account details and to direct us to invest in and change investment options.

When you open your account, you are provided with a username and you can create a password for online access to your account. You should keep your password confidential and change it regularly.

Your access level changes dependant on whether you are a primary or secondary user.

To verify if you have "transact" access:

  1. Log in to your Netwealth online account and click on My Details
  2. Select Account Settings and then Account Access to verify access type

How do I change access levels?

You can change your online access from "browse only" to “transact” by calling us on 1800 888 223.

Alternatively, you can complete the ‘Change of details’ form which can be found here for Wealth Accelerator accounts and here for Super Accelerator accounts.

Important: Make sure you complete Step 3 of the 'Change of Details' form. Once the form is completed, send it to us at contact@netwealth.com.au or post it to us (postal details can be found at the bottom of the form).
