How do I approve transactions using the 'Activities' page as an investor?

With 'Activities', you can stay on top of tasks and alerts that affect your accounts all in one place.

To view 'Activities', log in to your Netwealth account and navigate using the main menu to Activities & Task > Activities. Here you will see a list of all activities and by selecting an activity you will see more information, including in some instances, the ability to action certain tasks.

How do I approve an activity that has been assigned to me on the online portal?

  1. Once you're logged into your profile on the website, navigate to Activities & Tasks > Activities.
  2. Select an activity to view more details.
  3. Accept or reject the activity.

How do I approve an activity that has been assigned to me on the mobile app?

  1. Once you're logged into your account on the mobile app, navigate to the 'Activities' tab from the bottom banner.                                                                                                                                                                     
  2. Select an activity to view more details.                                                                               
  3. Accept or reject the activity.                                                                                                      
Currently, only Third Party Authorities (TPA), User Profile Account Linking/Delinking and BPay anyone can be accepted on the app. 

What are the key sections of the Activities page?

There are four sections within Activities page:

  1. Activity task list: Displays a summary of each activity, with key information including activity title and description and where relevant, related account information and expiry date.
  2. Detailed Activity view: On selection of an activity, detailed information is shown along with any accounts impacted, and the action required to process the activity where relevant.
  3. Filter bar: This has several filters for the 'Activity List', including the ability to search for types of activities, different statuses and date filtering.
  4. Left hand side filters: This filters the 'Activity List' to show your activities (assigned to me), your client’s activities (assigned to client), your team’s activities or activities assigned to Netwealth (assigned to other), draft activities (that have been previously saved) and any archived activities.
  5. Alerts list: On the top banner, you can navigate to the 'Alerts' section of Activities. This is a separate section for all alert activities that do not require review or action by you. 

How do I use the left hand side filters?

Using the left hand side filters, you can quickly show activities specific to six pre-determined views:

  • All: The default view that displays all activities linked to your Adviser Code, with no filters.
  • Archive: Displays activities that have been archived.
  • Settings: Settings to adjust automatic archiving.

How do I use the filter bar?

Using the top filter bar, you can filter the activities using the following actions:

  • Activity type: Use this to show activities based on their type, eg. corporate action, minimum cash alert, pending withdrawal.
  • Status: Use this to show activities based on their status, which can include expired, due soon, awaiting client approval and awaiting adviser approval.
  • Clear: Clears all filters.
  • Refresh: Refreshes the page to fetch any new activities.

How do I archive and view archived activities?

All activities remain in the 'Activities List', regardless of status, unless they have been archived. An activity can be archived manually by selecting the activity and then clicking the archive icon in the top right corner of the 'Detailed Activity' view. Once archived, the activity is moved to the 'Archived' area, which can be accessed using the left hand side filters.

In archive, all details of the activity will be available for audit purposes. You can also unarchive from this page.

Activities that are expired or completed can also be automatically archived. Some activities that are automatically archived due to expiry or completion include:

Alert

  • Minimum cash alerts will auto-archive upon completion. They do not expire.
  • Wholesale certificate expiry will auto-archive upon completion, not upon expiry.

An activity that can be automatically archived due to completion includes the Minimum cash alert, which archives once the account is no longer under the minimum cash amount.

The automatic archive feature is automatically enabled on all accounts, although this can be disabled by navigating from the Activities page to the Settings located on the left side column, checking or unchecking automatic archiving, and clicking the Save Changes button.

If you have manually unarchived an activity then it will not be picked up by the auto-archive feature. You will then have to archive that activity manually. This allows you the flexibility to keep an item unarchived if required, whilst still maintaining existing archive settings for other activities. 

What are the types of alerts and tasks shown in Activities 

The below table outlines all activities available for you and your adviser, with a description and example, including any that require action.
