How do I enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?

We have enhanced account security by mandating Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) when you login to your Netwealth account. MFA is mandatory for all Netwealth accounts, please follow the below steps to set up MFA on your account today.

The below instructions are only valid for users that have not had MFA enforced on their account. All new and most existing accounts now have MFA mandated. If you open an account and log in for the first time, a pop-up will prompt you through setting up MFA.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to register my mobile number prior to setting MFA?

MFA does not require you to have your mobile number recorded. You will require a mobile to access your authenticator app.

I don’t have an authenticator app, where can I get one?

You can download an authenticator app from your phone/tablet “App store”. Some of the common authenticator apps are Microsoft authenticator and Google authenticator. You may need to speak to your IT department to confirm which authenticator app, you are allowed to use for work purposes.

I am entering the verification code and it is not accepting the code?

Please ensure you are using the correct account within your Authentication app when logging into your Netwealth account. When inputting the verification code into the Netwealth website or app, please ensure to type the code rather than copy and paste. The other reason this may occur is if the date and time of the mobile is different than the device being used to access Netwealth. If you are still not able to successfully complete verification, please contact Netwealth.
