How do I set up and manage data integrations (data feeds) using Wealth Exchange?

Wealth Exchange is Netwealth’s online app store where advisers can subscribe to data feeds to third party software (integrations) and other subscription services. These data integrations allow client data to be shared with software providers such as BGL 360, Financial Simplicity, and Xplan. Some data integrations also let you choose which clients’ data is shared.

This article is intended for use by Adviser Representatives only and is provided for adviser operational purposes. It is not designed for, and must not be relied on by, clients. Clients should not act on the information in this article and should contact their Adviser Representative or Netwealth at contact@netwealth.com.au for information relevant to their circumstances.

How to subscribe and configure a data integration

Log in and navigate to Business Settings > Data Integrations via the main menu. Click ‘Add integration’ and select from the list of available data feed integrations. When you find a data feed you’d like to use, click the ‘Subscribe’ button.

Once you have agreed to the terms and conditions, follow the configuration steps to set up your adviser codes. Where applicable, you can choose whether to include all client accounts or add individual clients manually. Select ‘Save’ to confirm your data sharing configuration. If you are subscribing to Xplan data feeds, please view the additional requirement at the bottom of this page.

How to re-confirm data integration

When you have previously had 'Data Feeds' set up with Netwealth, you will need to 're-confirm' for each integration that you agree to the Wealth Exchange terms and conditions.

This is a once-off requirement that will need to be completed before you can edit or refresh the data integration and there is no interruption to the data whilst it has been awaiting a 're-confirm'. This action is required at a user level, so if you have multiple staff using an adviser code to access the data integrations, they will need to 're-confirm' individually before they have access to edit or refresh.

How to edit data feed settings or refresh the data

  1. Log in and navigate via the main menu to Business Settings > Data Integrations .
  2. Select the integration from the table you want to edit.
  3. Use the right-hand panel to edit the information, such as which adviser codes, or client accounts you wish the data to be supplied for.
  4. To manually synchronise or refresh the shared data, select the refresh icon. If you have multiple adviser codes, you can select multiple adviser codes for a bulk refresh.

How can I unsubscribe from a data integration?

  1. Log in and navigate via the main menu to Business Settings > Data Integrations.
  2. Once you locate the integration you want to unsubscribe from, click the three dots and click the 'Unsubscribe' button.
  3. Read the details of the pop-up, and click ‘Confirm’ to unsubscribe.

How to satisfy additional security requirements for Xplan data feeds

To initiate your Xplan data feed you will need enter a token from Wealth Exchange into your Xplan site.

  1. Navigate to Business Settings > Data Integrations
  2. You’ll see all your software providers and data feeds. Find and select Xplan to open the right-hand panel.
  3. In the right-hand panel, click on the ‘Adviser details’ column of the adviser you want to view password for.
  4. Click the Password eye icon to reveal your security token.
  5. Copy the token.
  6. Open Xplan and navigate to the Adviser Mappings section (Admin > Integration > System Datafeeds > Mappings > Advisers)
  7. Click the pencil icon for the adviser code you wish to enable and paste into the Adviser Password field and hit Save.
  8. Repeat for each adviser code you manage as each security token is unique to an adviser code.

Important notes:

  • If multiple users in your organisation have access to the same adviser code, they will all see the same token and only one user needs to link the token in Xplan.
  • Your credentials will be validated (or not) the following day. If you see No, please confirm that you have entered the correct token.
