How do I locate the Managed Account page?
To locate the Managed Accounts Profile page, please log in to the Netwealth website and navigate to Transactions > Managed Account > Profile. On this page you can access the below features.
Model Allocations
This displays the model and amount the account is currently invested in.
Investment Preferences
This displays the minimum trade size, minimum trade percent, minimum holding size, minimum holding percent, suspend rebalancing allowance and income instructions.
- Netwealth set the default minimum trade size and holding amounts, these can be adjusted for the clients needs.
- Suspend rebalancing is an option that can be used if you do not want the client's model to trade in the daily rebalancing. This might be used if you are actioning advice such as a pension refresh to stop any pending trades delaying your implementation. Subsequently, once the sale has completed change to 'Suspend Rebalancing - No', and the model will rebalance and trade the required allocations.
- Income instructions include:
- Reinvest in Managed account, this is the default setting, or
- Pay to my cash account.
Customisations
There are 'action' options that can be adjusted including 'Don't Buy', 'Substitute', or 'Lock' on asset(s) in the Model.
- Don’t Hold: The amount for that asset will be allocated pro rata to other assets in the model.
- Substitute: Replace with another managed fund in the same asset class.
- Lock: If the asset is already held within the model, it will not trade (no sells nor further buys).
Managed Account Planner & Transfer In Tool
You can use this tool to move assets that are on platform into the model. The benefit of doing this is to avoid unnecessary buys & sells thus reducing trading costs.
Any assets transferred in that are part of the model will be traded to bring the percentage allocation in line with the model.
You can run ‘Evaluate Plan’ as many times are you like.
Once satisfied, click ‘Execute Transfer’ to move assets into the model. The transaction will be reviewed, approved, and released by Netwealth which can take 30 mins up to 2 hours.
Subsequently you will see trades in the Pending screen.
To 'unwrap' a managed account, please use the 'transfer out' functionality of the managed account transfer tool.
