How do I open a Super Accelerator account online?

In this guide, we cover the steps required to open a Netwealth Super Accelerator account as a client. We'll walk you through the process from initiating account creation on the website to completing the application form. Whilst the process is very similar for a Netwealth Wealth Accelerator account, this guide is tailored specifically for Super Accelerator.

Step 1: Register to open an account via the Netwealth website

1. Navigate to www.netwealth.com.au.
2. Hover over the "Open an Account" button located in the top right-hand corner of the screen and click on "As an Investor".
3. Enter your first name, last name, email address, the type of account you wish to open (Superannuation) and complete the CAPTCHA security checkbox.
4. Click "Continue".
5. On the next page, input your basic details, including title, gender, date of birth, state of residence, and mobile number. Ensure to select "I am an investor."
6. Create a secure password, ensuring it meets the specified requirements.
7. Click "Register".
8. An email will be sent to you with your registration details, including your username and instructions for logging in.

Netwealth accounts must have an email to be valid accounts. This email address must be the clients and cannot be the financial advisers.

Step 2: Collect your username to log in

1. Check your email inbox for a welcome email from [e-mail].
2. The email will contain your username and instructions for logging into your account.

Step 3: Log in to Netwealth for the first time

1. Return to www.netwealth.com.au.
2. Click on "Login" located in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
3. Enter your username and password.
4. Click "Login" to access your account.

Step 4: Fill in your superannuation application online

1. Once logged in, from the main menu click on "Open an Account" and select "Super Accelerator".
2. Complete the form fields; some of which may be pre-populated from your previous entries.
3. Click "Next" to proceed through each section of the online application.
4. Review all the details you have entered and make any necessary adjustments.
5. Click "Confirm" to submit your application.
6. A confirmation page will provide you with your application and transaction ID, confirming the successful submission of your online application.

Notes:

• The application cannot be saved and must be completed in one session.
• You can provide your tax file number, banking details, and death benefit nominations at a later stage. 

Step 6: Print & sign your application

1. Download the PDF of the application form available on the confirmation page and print it.
2. Sign the application in the indicated areas.
3. Return the signed application to Netwealth by email at [e-mail] or by post to PO Box 336, South Melbourne VIC 3205, Australia, alongside your Certified Identification Documents.

4. You will receive an email notification once your account has been established.
