This guide outlines how advisers and their clients can use the new portfolio page with a more intuitive experience.
Overview of the Portfolio page
*All information provided are from a testing account and are to be used as a guide only.
This portfolio page is organised into three main sections:
- Your net wealth / account selector (left-hand side panel) including bank/property feeds.
- Selected account information (middle panel): Displaying detailed information about the account, including holding data.
- Additional insights (right-hand side panel): A deep-dive into selected information, including the cash account and asset summary.
Your net wealth / account selector (right-hand side panel)
Here you can see the total net wealth or 'whole of wealth' for a client, plus the underlying accounts and any property that makes it.
Sort by 'Account Category' (such as investment, pension, property) or by 'Financial Institution' (organising accounts by the institution).
You can select an individual account or multiple accounts at once to view their details in the middle pane.
Bank and property feeds
Personal portfolios, bank accounts, and properties can be added by selected the 'Add Account or Property' button, so you can view bank and property feeds.
To manage these feeds, click the 'Edit' button (available to clients) or the 'View' button (for advisers and administrators) to access the maintenance page.
Selected account information (middle panel)
Here you will find detailed information related to the account or accounts selected in the left-side panel.
Table of holdings
Assets and any liabilities or committed capital will be displayed for the selected account/s.
Table customisation
You can customise the table using the table toolbar, to add or remove columns and change the sorting order.
Expand/collapse
By default, asset groups are expanded but can be collapsed for an 'asset allocation' view.
Liabilities and limited capital:
These now appear in separate tabs, making the information easier to find.
Viewing options:
These are the three viewing options to be aware of:
- Asset class: Sorts by general category (e.g. equities, fixed income).
- Investment type: Sorts by the type of investment (e.g. managed funds, direct shares).
- Detailed asset class: Sorts into more specific categories.
More views and the download to CSV button will take you back to the old portfolio page.
If you are looking for a sorting option that isn't available, open the 'Help' icon and click on the appropriate link.
Charts:
To view portfolio charts, click on the 'Charts' button in the top of the right-hand side pane.
Export to CSV:
To export the holdings to CSV format, click on download button and this will take you to the old portfolio page to export file.
Additional insights (right-hand side panel)
Here you will find detailed information related to any item you have selected in the holdings table.
Cash account:
Select 'Cash account' from the holdings table, which will show:
- Available Cash: Current cash available in the account.
- Pending: Transactions that are in progress.
- Minimum Cash: The required cash balance.
If the account includes managed account models, this section will also display 'Managed Account Cash' below the main cash account balance.

- Price information: Displays the most recent price and its movement.
- Holdings information: Lists the units held for each asset, displaying separate parcels (portions of the asset) in a table. Users can view transactions associated with each parcel by selecting its purchase date.
